[3.3.2] Health Outreach Programmes
Deliver outreach programmes and projects in the local community (which can include student volunteering programmes) to improve or promote health and well-being including hygiene, nutrition, family planning, sports, exercise, aging well, and other health and well-being related topics.
- Info Sehat FKUI Untuk Anda (FKUI Health Info for You: https://fk.ui.ac.id/infosehat/ or Instagram @infosehatfkui) program provide health information such as diseases, how to improve quality of life, health conference for public, etc.
- Indonesian Hydration Working Group (IHWG) Another major collaboration program is the FMUI incorporated in the IHWG (Indonesian Hydration Working Group). IHWG is an organization that aims to improve health related to hydration with the mission of raising awareness of the importance of water for health. As one of the University of Indonesia’s research clusters, IHWG is expected to be able to help improve the quality and quantity of UI research that currently focuses on 10 fields, namely Allevation, Child, Family & Community, Genome, Governance, Democratization & Public Social Policy, Energy, Restoring the Earth’s Natural Support System, Nano & Advanced Technology, Culture, Indigenous Studies, Urban Planning & Transportation, and ICT; especially those related to water accessibility, the importance of water for health, and can share knowledge related to hydration and health.
- A team of students from the University of Indonesia (UI), consisting of members from the Faculty of Medicine (FK) and the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom), has launched an application named Isolasinfo. This app was developed as an expression of the students’ commitment to promoting physical health during the COVID-19 pandemic, particularly in assisting individuals undergoing self-isolation with mild or no symptoms. The motivation behind creating this application stems from the low level of public awareness and concern regarding self-isolation during the pandemic. - Students from the Faculty of Medicine (FK) and the Faculty of Computer Science (Fasilkom) at the University of Indonesia have collaborated to create a platform for COVID-19 risk assessment called EndCorona. This platform was developed to enable individuals to independently detect their risk of contracting COVID-19 and to provide information, current updates, and prevention tips, as well as to counteract misinformation about COVID-19. EndCorona is equipped with various features to assist the public in navigating the COVID-19 pandemic in Indonesia. One notable feature is the risk assessment tool, which helps users understand their personal risk level for COVID-19. This assessment categorizes users into different risk groups: low risk, cautious, vulnerable, and highly vulnerable. The evaluation is based on thorough research by the FKUI-RSCM advisory team, drawing from reputable scientific journals and evidence-based national and international recommendations. Additionally, EndCorona serves as an information and educational channel, providing the public with accurate knowledge grounded in scientific evidence.
- RADscan adalah startup healthtech yang berfokus pada interpretasi citra radiologi berbasis AI (artificial intelligence), yang saat ini sedang dalam tahap pengembangan awal. Teknologi ini berpotensi berguna untuk mengatasi masalah mengenai kebutuhan interpretasi radiologi yang cepat dan akurat untuk membantu para profesional kesehatan, khususnya mereka yang bekerja di garis depan layanan darurat. - RADscan is a healthtech startup focused on AI-based radiology image interpretation, currently in the early stages of development. This technology holds the potential to address the need for rapid and accurate radiology interpretation, thereby assisting healthcare professionals, especially those working on the front lines of emergency services. - Edufia was initiated by Arya Lukmana (a student from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (FKUI), class of 2018) under the guidance of Prasandhya A. Yusuf, S.Si, M.T., Ph.D., a lecturer in the Department of Medical Physics/Medical Technology Cluster at IMERI, Faculty of Medicine UI. The development team included Amrisandha P. Prasetyo (Faculty of Computer Science, UI (Fasilkom UI) class of 2018), Ratna Fitranti Lanasiwi (FKUI 2018), Widyanto Hadi Nugroho (Fasilkom UI 2019), Alifia Zahratul Ilmi (a science Olympiad champion), Dara Ariqah Jibril (FKUI 2018), and M. Ridwan Satria (a science Olympiad champion). Additionally, the Edufia Blog, featuring scientific articles and inspirational stories from individuals who have won medals at the National Science Competition (KSN), is managed by Fasya Rizkiaputri (FKUI 2018), M. Surya Siddiq (a science Olympiad champion), and Ghayda Nafisa Assakura (FKUI 2019). Edufia is a company established under the management of DISTP UI (UI’s Directorate of Science and Technology Promotion). This Directorate supports the entrepreneurial spirit of UI's academic community and greatly appreciates the contributions of students who facilitate accessible learning for the nation’s children. Through Edufia, students will have access to the latest and most original materials and practice questions in their respective fields. In its first release, Edufia offers three subjects—Astronomy, Chemistry, and Economics—out of the nine subjects included in the National Science Competition. - Guardian Headache Diary is an Android and iOS-based application designed as a headache diary that provides real-time reporting. This app greatly facilitates patients suffering from headaches by allowing them to record their headache history using the various features available. Users can also identify the type of headache, accompanying symptoms, and potential factors that may influence the occurrence of headaches. The recorded data can be exported in Excel format, which can be used as preliminary screening material for medical examinations. This report is highly valuable for doctors to make accurate and precise diagnoses and determine appropriate therapy. - The Indonesian Medical Education and Research Institute (IMERI) at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia (FKUI), supported by venture builder UMG IdeaLab, has established the Big Data Center IMERI-IDEALAB. This center offers an integrated “One Stop Service” for managing big data in the field of healthcare. The grand launch of the Big Data Center IMERI-IDEALAB took place on Monday, January 31, 2022. During the event, a symbolic memorandum of understanding was signed between FKUI, represented by UKK Pusbangki, and PT. UMG IdeaLab Indonesia. Prof. dr. Badriul Hegar, Ph.D., SpA(K), Director of IMERI FKUI, stated that IMERI envisions advancing research in medical education and medical science, particularly by utilizing health big data. “IMERI is expected to provide researchers with a platform capable of processing biological, clinical, social, and environmental big data to develop new healthcare services that will benefit the healthcare system for the Indonesian population,” he said. Sharing this vision, IDEALAB has agreed to collaborate with IMERI FKUI in building the Health Big Data Platform. Achmad Syaefi, CEO of UMG IdeaLab, expressed, “We recognize IMERI as a hub for experts and medical practitioners contributing to education and research. [3.3.3] Shared Sports Facilities
The Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia provides an exercise cluster located in IMERI to encourage people to exercise. Organized by the Center of Sports and Exercise Studies (SES), this facility was of utmost importance especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, where physical activity was directly related to comorbidity which contributes to transmission, severity, and fatality of COVID-19. Thus, active lifestyle is a logical and ultimate choice that will serve as health resilience against the new COVID-19 variants or even any other pandemics.
Accessibility to other facilities, such as bicycle track, swimming pool, soccer field, basketball, or volleyball stadium are also provided by Universitas Indonesia to be used as a shared facility for all faculties. These facilities can be enjoyed free of charge by UI’s academic community. In addition, UI has a 10+ km jogging/cycling track located inside campus that can be accessed by the public, especially during the weekend, where UI becomes a destination for both the residents of the surrounding area as well as those further away to fulfill their need for physical activities, such as jogging, cycling, aerobics, and running through UI’s City Forest
[3.3.4] Sexual and reproductive health care services for students
Universitas Indonesia provides students access to sexual and reproductive health-care services through free health services for students that are provided by UI Satellite Clinic and Faculty. UI Satellite Clinic is the center for physical and mental health services, including health promotion, health check-up, psychological counseling for mental health, sexual and reproductive health services. The faculty also provides facilitation services concerning mental health, sexual and reproductive issues

Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia has conducted seminars/webinars regarding psychological well-being. These activities have targets including health workers, medical students, and for public.
2.- Teman Bicara FKUI
FMUI has “Teman Bicara FKUI.” Teman Bicara FKUI is one of community for supporting medical student’s mental health. It includes buddies to help each other medical student’s problem. It is also supervised by our psychiatrist. Teman Bicara FKUI has campaigns about mental health and also helps medical students that need psychiatrist help.
