Departemen Pendidikan Kedokteran FKUI didirikan dengan tujuan untuk menjadi pusat ilmu pengetahuan, teknologi, dan budaya dalam bidang pendidikan kedokteran dan profesi kesehatan yang unggul dan berdaya saing, melalui upaya mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat sehingga berkontribusi bagi pembangunan Indonesia dan dunia.

Pelatihan Clinical Teacher
Modul Pelatihan Dasar Clinical teacher adalah modul pelatihan yang bertujuan untuk menyiapkan staf pengajar di klinik untuk menjalankan peran sebagai Clinical Teacher di situasi pembelajaran klinik. Modul ini memiliki sasaran akhir untuk membuat peserta dapat menjelaskan prinsip pembelajaran, metode pembelajaran dan asesmen yang digunakan di situasi klinis.
Pelatihan Clinical teacher dasar ini biasanya dilakukan dalam pelatihan tatap muka selama 2 atau 4 hari dengan waktu pembelajaran kurang lebih 15 jam. Terdapat hands-on dan penugasan tertentu dalam pelatihan untuk memastikan pencapaian keterampilan yang menjadi sasaran akhir pelatihan. Pelatihan Clinical Teacher telah dilaksanakan baik di lingkungan AHS Universitas Indonesia maupun di berbagai Rumah Sakit Pendidikan dan Institusi Pendidikan Kedokteran di Indonesia.
Sebagai pengembangan, karena adanya pandemi COVID-19, modul ini dibuat dalam bentuk pembelajaran jarak jauh (PJJ). Modul ini dikemas dalam 3 sesi synchronous dan 3 sesi asinkronus dengan 3 penugasan dan 3 kerja kelompok untuk memastikan capaian keterampilan. Secara keseluruhan jumlah waktu pembelajaran sama dengan pelatihan tatap muka. Dengan demikian diharapkan modul ini dapat mencapai target pembelajaran yang telah ditentukan seperti modul asalnya.

Selain pelatihan Clinical Teacher, Departemen Pendidikan Kedokteran juga menyelenggarakan atau menjadi narasumber dalam berbagai pelatihan pengembangan staf pengajar di lingkungan FKUI, AHS Universitas Indonesia dan berbagai institusi terkait pengembangan kurikulum, asesmen, metode pengajaran, riset dan publikasi, peran staf pengajar (narasumber kuliah interaktif, fasilitator, mentor, panutan dan lain-lain) dalam konteks pendidikan kedokteran dan profesi kesehatan di semua level.
