Marcellus Simadibrata merupakan konsultan spesialis gastroentero-hepatologi Ilmu Penyakit Dalam dan dosen tetap pada Prodi Magister Pendidikan Kedokteran FKUI. Sebelumnya, beliau pernah menjadi Ketua Departemen Pendidikan Kedokteran FKUI dan Ketua Perhimpunan Pengkaji Ilmu Pendidikan Kedokteran Indonesia (PERPIPKI).

Prof. Dr. Marcellus Simadibrata, Ph.D, Sp.PD-KGEH, FACG, FASGE, FINASIM menamatkan pendidikan dokter di FKUI pada tahun 1981. Beliau kemudian menyelesaikan pendidikan dokter spesialis Ilmu Penyakit Dalam di FKUI pada tahun 1991 dan pendidikan dokter subspesialis (Sp2) FKUI pada tahun 1998. Prof. Marcell kemudian meraih gelar Ph.D dari Universiteit van Amsterdam, Netherland, tahun 2002 dan Fellow of The American College of Gastroenterology pada tahun 2009.

Prof. Dr. Marcellus Simadibrata, Ph.D, Sp.PD-KGEH, FACG, FASGE, FINASIM saat ini merupakan Dokter Pendidik Klinis dengan jabatan fungsional sebagai Profesor.
