Founded back in 1920, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia (FMUI) is the longest-running medical school in Indonesia. In 2019, it is listed as the best university in Indonesia and the 59^th in Asia. The Faculty aims to create an infinite experience for all through its affiliated national referral hospitals which are integrated into the Academic Health System.

In cooperation with the Academic Health System and the Indonesia Medical Education and Research Institute, FMUI is standing at the frontier of clinical and biomedical research in Indonesia. The Faculty also offers various programs, such as an undergraduate medical doctor (M.D.) program, 31 medical specialty training programs, 6 subspecialty training programs, 4 Master’s level programs, and 3 Doctoral level programs that cover a vast and diverse course from molecular medicine and genetics, tropical infection, to global health.

The Faculty encourages inbound students from abroad to take part in our elective posting program. With the vast array of unique cases, internationally standardized hospital, and culturally sensitive patient care, the elective program will give you the once-in-a-lifetime learning experience in your career.

In the final year before becoming a medical doctor, every students are encouraged to make an initial and important step for further career development by choosing their own subject to be involved and learned during 4 weeks attachment in a program called Elective Module.
