Department of Internal Medicine

Medicine basically is an integrated discipline that understands about disease in human and efforts to treat those diseases. In the later development, medicine becomes wider and deeper, so that the ability to master it integratedly is impossible. Medicine is branched into Surgery and Medicine. Furthermore, medicine is branched into Surgery, Pediatric, Obstetric-Gynecology and Internal Medicine.

Internal Medicine is a discipline of medicine that manages adults who acquire non-surgical disease, including almost all parts of the body. In FKUI/RSCM, the department of Internal Medicine consists of 12 divisions, which are Allergy Immunology, Gastroenterology, Geriatric, Kidney Hypertension, Hematology Oncology Medicine, Hepatology, Cardiology, Metabolic Endocrinology, Psychosomatic, Pulmonology, Rheumatology and Tropical Infeciton.
