Dokter Alfan Mahdi Nugroho, Sp.An-KAO, KAR menamatkan pendidikan dokter di Universitas Indonesia pada tahun 2003. Beliau kemudian melanjutkan pendidikan spesialis Anestesiologi dan Terapi Intensif di Program Pendidikan Dokter Spesialis Universitas Indonesia dan lulus pada tahun 2008.
