ASEAN Medical School Network (AMSN)

ASEAN Medical School Network (AMSN) was established in 2012 by Clinical Professor Udom Kachintorn during his appointment as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Siriraj Hospital. Currently, the chairman of ASMN for 2018-2020 period is Prof. Dr. dr. Ari Fahrial Syam, SpPD-KGEH, MMB as Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia.

FMUI, as a member of AMSN, are collaborating with other great medical schools in ASEAN, to reach excellence in medical education and healthcare, to support one another in research and medical eduation capacity, and to work as part of ASEAN Economic Community.

A major event of AMSN is the annual ASEAN Medical Deans’ Summit. The newest ASEAN Deans’ Summit (8th ASEAN Deans’ Summit) were held in Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Brunei on 2019 August 23rd – 24th.
