FMUI made an achievement in Medical Djogja Scientific Competition 2019

Another achievement has been made by Faculty of Medicine Universitas Indonesia (FMUI) students. On last April, FMUI team joined Medical Djogja Scientific Competition (MEDJONSON) 2019, which was held by Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta.

Medical Djogja Scientific Competition (MEDJONSON) is one of scientific competitions in national level for all meducical students in Indonesia. Through MEDJONSON, medical and health science students from all over Indonesia had the opportunity to gather, exchange ideas and compete.

The competition included public posters, literature reviews, educational videos, and scientific essays. This year, MEDJONSON took the theme of children’s health, “Pediatric Disease: Better Stage of Health Starts from Pediatric Care.”

The FMUI student team performed really well by winning 2 awards in the Literature Review category. The 1st place was given to Ariel Valentino (FMUI student class of 2016), Ko Abel Ardana (FMUI 2016), and Christine Lieana (FMUI 2016) with the review title “Risk Factor Evaluation on Diet related to Obesity in Children in Asia: A Systematic Studies.

The 2nd place was given to Afid Brilliana Putra (FMUI 2016), M. Ilham Dhiya R. (FMUI 2016), dan Ihya Fakhrurizal A (FMUI 2016) with the review titled “The combination of Tetrahydrocurcumin and Cyanidine-3-O-glucoside as Phytochemical therapy. Alternative Remedies for Asthma in Children via IL-4R-STAT6 Inflammatory Pathways and Proinflammatory Cytokines.”

Not only that, FMUI students also become the 4th winner for public poster presentation on behalf of Nurul Mutmaina (FMUI 2016), Devi Elora (FMUI 2016), dan Balqis Deyan (FMUI 2016) with their poster title “Let’s prevent stunting with good intake”;

In scientific essay category, FMUI students received the 4th winner on behalf of Rayhan Farandy (FMUI 2016) dan Iskandar Purba Geraldi (FMUI 2016) with essay titled “The Potential of LOX-1 as the Newest Biological Marker in Diagnosing the Severity of Neonatal Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy”. Also the 5th winner on behalf of Endang Farihatul (FMUI 2016) dan Amirah Yasmin (FMUI 2016) with their essay title “The Innovation of LSD 1 Inhibitors Encapsulated Intranasal Chitosan Nanoparticles as Effective Targeted Therapy for Group 3 Medulloblastoma in Children.”

Congratulations to the all FMUI student team for their achievements. Hopefully this can inspire other students to always be enthusiastic in carrying out education and receiving great achievements.
