9.4.1 Research income per academic staff

Research income per academic staff gives an indication of how successful an institution is at acquiring income from industry regardless of its size. Its value is the quotient obtained by dividing research income from industry by the number of academic staff.

There was a decrease of research income per academic staff in 2020 compare to 2019 due to a global changes in international research fund scheme during pandemic.

Research and developmental income is income that is provided specifically to undertake or support research. In the context of University Spin Offs, our research incomes are provided by our partner in form of agreed payments for completed milestones.

FMUI’s research income in the year 2020 is decreasing most likely due to pandemic, despite the high activities of research which had been conducted

Academic staff are defined as academic professionals who are responsible for planning, directing and undertaking academic teaching, research and community service known as Tridarma Perguruan Tinggi within Medical Education institution.

FMUI has high-quality academic with qualification ranging from post-graduate, specialist, sub-specialist, doctoral, post-doctoral and professor degree. In the year 2019 and 2020, there 900 academic staff who works as academic staffs in FMUI.
